Wear Fur And Brocade Like Alexa Chung

Does anyone have a cooler, more eclectic sense of style than Alexa Chung? One day, she's wearing beautifully-embroidered Vilshenko suits with severe braids (and glittery silver nails), the next she's absolutely killing it in various iterations of Chanel — and now? Well, she recently attended the opening of the New York Edition Hotel in a fur-trimmed brocade dress — and if you're thinking Henry VIII, don't worry, because Alexa Chung's Simone Rocha party dress is anything but stuffy. It's actually a pitch perfect blend of on-trend/modern and regal/retro, very queen-goes-to-a-cocktail-party, but with a quirky, fun twist. Because no Alexa outfit is complete without a quirky, fun twist, right?

At any rate, it's a fun look to replicate. Who doesn't want a touch of the royal as they sip champagne? It's a look that translates well to anything from a fancy birthday party to a night out to a wedding (though you might want to skip the white, if that's where you're headed).
