See Fan Bingbing's Cannes Outfit From Every Angle

by Rosie Narasaki

Ms. Fan is definitely on a roll, because her latest look might just be the most jaw-droppingly dramatic of all: Fan Bingbing wore a flower-covered tulle Marchesa ball gown to the premiere of Mad Max: Fury Road and it's kind of the best thing ever. The actress is not one to hold back — did you happen to see her best-dressed list topping caped gold Christopher Bu dress that she wore to the Met Gala? How about the Ralph and Russo Couture gown, with the floor-length sleeves and ultra dramatic train she recently wore to the opening ceremony at Cannes?

Her latest dress is about as showstopping as they come. It's a beautiful shade of oyster gray (with a touch of blue), and it features sheer, belled sleeves and intricate floral detailing on the bodice and skirt, with three dimensional flowers rendered in pastel shades (and upon close inspection, some of the flowers are even made out of feathers. FEATHERS).

Of course, on its own, it's already quite the confection, but Bingbing kicked things up a notch with the styling. She paired the gown with a matching flower crown updo, as well as luxurious gem stone earrings. Taken together, the whole thing is very Titania-on-steroids, like all of your childhood dreams of being a fairy princess ballerina have all been rendered into one Marchesa gown.

In other words? The look is about as opposite from Mad Max: Fury Road as you can possibly get.

I hereby nominate Fan Bingbing for queen of the ballerina fairies.
