The 9 Best Moments From "Bad Blood"

by Lia Beck

When I first heard that the music video for Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" was going to premiere at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, I couldn't have cared less. Sure, I would end up watching the video eventually — ya know, someday when "Bad Blood" became an ear worm to the extent of, well, all of Taylor Swift's other songs, and I just had to listen to it on YouTube — but I wasn't particularly excited to catch the video when it debuted. That is, until Swift started promoting the video like there was no tomorrow. Except, there always was a tomorrow and it always involved more promotion.

Swift began posting promo shots on Instagram in anticipation of the video a week before its premiere. Things started out seeming normal. The first photo was one of Swift pictured in a Sin City-style movie poster that explained her character in the video would be called "Catastrophe." Then she started posting similar photos of what seemed to be some of the video's co-stars — Lily Aldridge, Zendaya, Lena Dunham. But then THEY KEPT COMING. Jessica Alba, Kendrick Lamar, Ellen Pompeo, Karlie Kloss. When would the madness end?!

Well, it ended on Sunday night at the Billboard Music Awards when the video finally premiered and gave me the peace of knowing I could go into work on Monday and not have to exclaim, "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! SHE ADDED SOMEONE ELSE?!"

And the video itself didn't disappoint, either. Here are some of the best moments from "Bad Blood."

Taylor Swift & Selena Gomez Kick Ass Together

T. Swift and Gomez fans alike love their friendship, so seeing them kick some major butt together in a sterile office building (why not?) was pretty awesome.

Except Then Selena Turns On Her & Knocks Her Out Of A Window!

*Gasp!* Is "Bad Blood" really about Selena Gomez?! What is happening?!

Taylor Looking All "Oops I Did It Again"

When she laid down on that weird robotic platform thing, I got some serious "Oops I Did It Again" vibes. A weird platform plus latex clothing can never NOT be associated with Britney Spears at this point.

Cara Delevingne's Eyebrows

Always on fleek.

The Knife Through The Teddy Bear

This part reminded me of "Black Space" and I'm not mad at it.

Taylor On A Motorcycle

It was a far cry from her country singer days. Every pop star has to ride a motorcycle in a video at some point — most of them just don't do it while getting Jessica Alba to do a 2-second cameo with them.

Taylor With Red Hair

This part was sooo Britney Spears' "Toxic." Not sure if Swift is paying homage to the pop star who came before her, of if I am just projecting Queen Britney onto this whole damn thing. I'm personally fine with either.

Justice & Luna

Justice and Luna, played by Mariska Hargitay and Ellen Pompeo was just plain badass. Plus, cats are named after them!

The Ending

Taylor and Selena are still fighting! What does it mean?! Probably nothing, but will this thing have a sequel? Will 50 cameos be involved this time?! I NEED TO KNOW.
