Were The Other Spice Girls At Geri's Wedding?

by Jaclyn Anglis

She'll tell you what she wants, what she really, really wants! And what Geri Halliwell (also known as Ginger Spice of the Spice Girls) wants, in this case, she definitely gets. Geri Halliwell married her longtime man Christian Horner on May 15, according to The Daily Mirror. And let's just say that keeping in tune with the Spice Girls classic song, "Wannabe," she put the lyric "If you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends" to good use!

That's right, a couple members from the band were right by her side on her wedding day to see her off. Former Spice Girl band mate Emma Bunton was spotted entering the beautiful church where the wedding took place. Of course, it is not entirely a surprise that she would make an appearance at their friends' big day. Sadly, Mel C and Victoria Beckham were both out of the country at the time, so they were unable to attend. Unfortunately, Mel B could not attend either, for reasons that are yet to be determined. But you can be assured that wherever they were, they were hitting "refresh" on the live feed on the Mirror page showcasing the events of the big day bit by bit (probably). And of the day's events, Bunton making the entrance was definitely a highlight!

It is really nice to see the girl power support there, especially considering the band has long gone its separate ways and all members of the group have their own crazy busy schedules (as seen by other members not being able to make it). The exciting day is made even more exciting yet with reports of Bunton's kids playing a very important part in Halliwell's wedding. According to The Daily Mail and other sources, Bunton's kids helped walk Halliwell down the aisle! What a sweet moment that must have been! In any case, the bride looked stunning, as did her happy groom.

While the other girls could not attend, they sent well wishes via social media. Victoria Beckham, for her part, shared throwback pictures galore on Instagram, along with sweet messages:

And Melanie Brown retweeted the throwback shot on her own Twitter page, to show her own support, as well as this thoughtful message:

We will have to stay tuned to see if there are any pictures of Bunton and Halliwell together later on. Maybe a reception selfie will be shared? We can only hope. After all, any time the Spice Girls have a reunion, even a mini one, it is a big deal for pop fans and die-hard '90s kids everywhere.

Friendship never ends, after all.
