7 Celebs Who Need To Publish A Selfie Book ASAP

by Jodie Layne

It's been a big week for Kim Kardashian's book Selfish , which is appropriately filled with hundreds of selfies of Kim K. The book has been mocked and praised since its release — but, most interestingly, it's selling a ton of copies. You can say what you want about Selfish, but it's currently sitting in Amazon's Top 100 best selling books and it's been starting conversations about fame, expression of femininity, vanity, and identity. So much for everyone just claiming it was a silly little ego boost project for the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star: Selfish is turning into a genuine cultural phenomenon.

Between the critical reaction to the book, Lena Dunham's endorsement of Selfish, and its sales, I can't help but wonder how long it will take before we see other celebrities producing their own selfie books. Editors said the images included in Kim K's book are only a few hundred out of the thousands that she gave them to choose from. When you're getting your hair and makeup done on the reg, and jet-setting to do work or take a vacation in a different climate, there are probably so many moments that celebs preserve via selfie. As an aspiring owner and/or creator of a selfie book, here are seven celebs that I'd like to see come out with their own:

1. Solange

While selfie purists might note that most of Solange's images on her IG seem to come from photos snapped by other people (has she hired a photographer to follow her around and capture the chicness of her life?!?), there's no doubt I'd keep a book of her bright images filled with color and her killer style right on my coffee table.

2. Aidy Bryant

One part silly, one part serious, Aidy Bryant's selfie book would be filled with photos of her looking ridiculous in costume for SNL sketches and also sweet selfies of her in the most drool-worthy sunglasses on her adventures with her BF and BFFs.

3. Gabourey Sidibe

Hi, this babe has more than one selfie in the White House: She does cool stuff. Sidibe is also known for being very pro self-love. I'd expect nothing less than pages of Sidibe's radiant smile, coolest exploits, and funniest captions.

4. Nadia Aboulhosn

Arguably the plus-size blogger with the best collection of selfies out there, Nadia Aboulhosn has already published a calendar of photos of her positively slaying. Please bless us with a book too, queen.

5. Lupita Nyong'o

The closest thing Hollywood has to a real-life princess, Nyong'o has an Instagram feed filled with photos of her twirling in French villas, shooting on-destination in tropical locations, and showing off her mani. Someone get this glam goddess a book deal.

6. Rihanna

Never forget the dark days when Rihanna took her Instagram away from us and always be thankful for a world where her selfies exist. I'd be willing to hedge my bets that a RiRi selfie book would also be looked back on as a historical documentation of the style of this era.

7. Steve Buscemi

Don't lie: You want this, too.
