2015 Billboard Music Awards Best Dressed Blended Experimental Fashion With Traditional Red Carpet Glamour

It's an event that brings together all the pop princes and princesses of the world for a night of music, live performance, what I can only imagine to be cocktail heaven, and, of course fashion — so let's take a look at the best dressed at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards. Not as fancy at the Grammys nor quite as wickedly wacked-out as the MTV Movie Awards, the BBMAs are kind of a happy sartorial medium between kitsch and chicness, and that means the red carpet will always be an event... to say the least.

When you're celebrating everyone from Taylor Swift to Maroon 5, from Beyoncé to Lorde, you know you're going to get a whole lot of cool clothes. So without further ado, let's look at the best dressed at the BBMAs — at all those who weren't afraid to be a little weird, and a lot of bold.

Charlie XCX

Because a black slip dress = everything. More than everything. And vampy makeup to boot? Color me in love.

Laverne Cox

“Impeccable” just won’t cut it. Laverne is majestic. Killing it in all-white and metallics with embellished details sure to make me see sparkles for days, this is demure kitsch at its finest.

Molly Ringwald

Although a simple look, Molly Ringwald brought it in a floor-length black gown with a deep V-neck cut that screams confidence. And didn’t ya know confidence and self-love are the sexiest things?

Taraji P. Henson

This gown is daring and quirky and elegant and, well, it’s utopia incarnate. OK? Taraji owned body positivity by wearing strategic cutouts and giving off a total NFG attitude.

Kendall Jenner

Slaying in a deep-cut Balmain tunic, Kendall is, well, literally sparkling. Her slicked-back ‘do is so fierce, but more importantly, she looks like she feels comfortable and at ease. And, IMO, that should always be a priority (sartorial or otherwise).

Jennifer Lopez

You can always count on J. Lo to own every single curve. There’s no shame in loving your body, or in allowing your body to be visible. My heart is singing, Jenny.

Aimee Song

To put it simply, this Brigitte Bardot cut is making me swoon.

Taylor Swift

Leave it to T. Swift to combine the ’70s trend with the jumpsuit trend with the white-on-white trend with the frikin cutout trend. Ahh-mazing.

Britney Spears

Britney’s sparkling, sheer gown kind of calls to mind Game of Thrones-style chainmail. In the coolest of ways, that is.

Kylie Jenner

Of course Kylie was going to make this list. Of course! For whatever reason, her ensemble reminds me of old trains and sci-fi movies. And the combination of those two things is captivating!

Chrissy Teigen

This jumpsuit calls to mind “sexy goddess out of Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory. Seriously digging it.

Mariah Carey

Gotta love Mariah. Rocking the cut-out trends, an asymmetrical cut, and a low-cut neckline, she’s elegant and wickedly confident.

Rita Ora

I mean, she didn’t have to wear any underwear. And the sunshine embellishments on this gown? Where can I sign up?
