The2Bandits Jewelry Collection Is Southwest Chic

by Marc Cuenco

Classic Americana is having a huge fashion moment, thanks to Erin Wasson's PacSun collaboration, and now California-based jewelry company The2Bandits will release a collection inspired by Southwestern style. Designer Tamar Wider's upcoming collection, called For Nudie By The2Bandits, will be released in June, and it features jewelry inspired by the vibrant beauty and style of the American Southwest as well as the richly embellished suits of Nudie's Rodeo Tailor. Wider tapped Wasson to model the collection, which will be sold alongside her own Western-inspired clothing line at PacSun stores.

Homage to Western wear isn't necessarily new to fashion, popping up on the international runways from time to time, including Chanel's Paris-Dallas collection last year. This aesthetic inspired Wider's current Rodeo Queen spring jewelry collection, so collaborating with Nudie's Rodeo Tailor seems like a natural fit. Meanwhile, the suit-making company out of Hollywood, CA has designed rhinestone-studded suits for legends such as Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, and Johnny Cash, all of whom Wider consider her style muses. Proceeds from the sales of Nudie By The2Bandits jewelry will benefit the preservation of the brand's archives.

For Nudie By The2Bandits includes antique silver plated pendants, rings, and pins as well as bolo ties and neck cuffs. The collection features items with gemstones native to the Southwest, such as blue turquoise, moonstone, and opal. Prices range from $35 to $220.
