Gwyneth Paltrow Is OK With Wrinkles

by Lindsey Rose Black

With the brand name Goop, you’d think Gwyneth is probably slathering her face and body in products to prevent any signs of aging. But surprisingly, according to the Daily Mail, Gwyneth Paltrow likes her wrinkles. Yes, you read that right: the actress-turned-modern-Martha is a wrinkle-rocking role model that's all about staying body-positive as she ages with humor and grace.

Paltrow confessed, "I'm pretty content with my looks at this point. I like my wrinkles and you know, I like what I see." She also told Stylist’s Joanna McGarry how she gets her dreamy glow, and it doesn’t involve a bit of makeup. Instead of blush brands, Paltrow shares two books she deems beauty essentials.

The Tools by Phil Stutz and Barry Michels [$5.95, Amazon] and Within by Dr. Habib Sadeghi [$16.11, Amazon] really helped me with understanding the importance of accepting your whole self – the internal parts that we don’t like of ourselves and even the parts that we don’t like physically ... I wish I had learned this stuff when I was little, but I’m grateful for it now and I totally accept my face and I totally accept myself ... Of course I can get into the frame of mind where I get critical about this and that, but I really try to appreciate the incredible life I’ve lived and all I’ve learned. I like that all of that is written on my face.”

Paltrow also admits to getting plenty of sleep, working out, and eating consciously. Authentically loving myself, finding extra justifications for naps, and possibly even getting excited for wrinkles are all things I can definitely get behind. Ms. Paltrow, you’ve just won yourself a new goopie.
