Dakota Makes Matchy Matchy Look Mad Cool

by Kali Borovic

Dakota Johnson is slowly but surely becoming the queen of summer street style. She's known for her bold style choices and always seems to have the perfect accessories to make the outfit. According to Refinery 29, Johnson matched her lipstick to her Converse when she stepped onto the streets of New York City in a mint green wool sweater. She paired that top with a bold red lip and an equally bold sneaker for one perfectly coordinated look.

The temperatures in May haven't been the warmest in the Big Apple, but Johnson took advantage of them to sport a slouchy but chic cable-knit sweater and ankle length skinny jeans. But the real magic happened with her accessories. Her fedora and oversized sunglasses gave a sophisticated vibe to the look, but most of the focus was on her matching hues.

Pairing the same color of lipstick with her Converse shoe, the star amped up her casual outfit while still managing to look fabulous. Not many stars can pull off the matchy-matchy look and seem totally cool and laid back, but Johnson shows us that there are ways to go about it without looking like you're trying too hard. With her indie rocker boyfriend, Matt Hitt, on her arm, she managed to look just as chill as she did chic. This is one trend I'll certainly be trying this summer.

The actress constantly looks effortless and shows us that all a simple outfit really needs is some staple accessories. Keeping some of these Johnson-inspired add-ons on hand is the easiest way to land the perfect laid-back look.
