Uzo Aduba's New 'Do Will Give You Hair Envy

Long and wavy is the new "lob," at least when it comes to this award-winning actress. Uzo Aduba debuted her new hairstyle earlier this week at a screening of Orange Is The New Black in Los Angeles and absolutely slayed with her take on Old Hollywood glam. She was joined by her other cast members including Laverne Cox and Taylor Schilling at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, but all eyes were on Aduba and her brand new 'do.

“[My hairstylist] just wanted to try something like wavy and bouncy and I thought, ‘yeah, let’s give it a dance,’" Aduba told People. “It felt good and like fresh and nice for summer.” The actress' new hairstyle was the work of stylist Jamika Wilson, who has also worked with Viola Davis and Keke Palmer. She previously styled Aduba in an elegant updo for the 2014 Emmys, and then went with a sleek, edgy cut for the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards.

“I’m always up for a change,” Aduba said. “I love trying new things. I don’t feel like anybody should be like entirely married to one thing forever so I felt like changing it.”
