Gladiator Sandals Are A Thing Again This Summer

I’m not exactly sure where my obsession with gladiator sandals stemmed from, but it’s only increasing by the day. Browsing through my Instagram feed this morning, The Man Repeller’s Gianvito Rossi "Janis" gladiator sandals caught my eye. Clearly, Leandra Medine is taunting me and doesn’t even know it. I am losing all sense of abstaining from shopping; a shoe purchase may very well be in the near future. Sorry bank account.

I realize that I’m a little behind in my shoe game. I’m pretty sure gladiator sandals were a thing last year, but recently they’ve taken over retailers and the feet of countless celebs. It’s been an on-going trend and it’s time to get with the times if, like myself, you haven’t already.

A gladiator sandal is a shoe of many talents. Feeling casual? Throw on a pair with shorts and a button down tee. Heading out for a night on the town? Gladiator heels are guaranteed to take any outfit to its next level of sexy.

The only possible down side I see to this genius piece of footwear, is the effort it takes to successfully get one on your foot. The Man Repeller’s pair had me falling in love at first sight. The photo’s caption, however, made me cringe: seven is how many minutes it took to get these on.

Beauty is pain, fashion is time consuming. Cest la vie.
