6 Amazing Places To Celebrate Gay Marriage In NYC

by Lauren Holter

The decision we've all been waiting for is finally here: same-sex marriage bans are now unconstitutional in the U.S. It's been a long, hard fight for marriage equality in this country and at last there's a national decision in favor of it. The United States joins the 19 other countries in Europe, North America, South America, and Africa that allow same-sex marriage nationwide. No more gay marriage bans. No more local judges blocking gay marriage decisions. No more couples waiting for the day they can legally have their dream wedding.

Now it's time to celebrate. SCOTUS's same-sex marriage decision will go down in history as a monumental achievement for equality in America and that deserves a big celebration. Put on all your rainbow flag clothing (or go buy some) and head to a local bar or club to spend all night partying in honor of the historic decision. People will be celebrating all over the country, but if you're in New York, you have a lot of good celebratory spots to choose from. The birthplace of the gay rights movement and Gay Pride, New Yorkers have been fighting for this for decades.

Here are the top six places to celebrate the gay marriage decision in New York City, whether you're LGBT or otherwise.
