Jessica Diehl Has The Deets On Styling Caitlyn

by Stephanie Chon

Even though Erin Wasson’s Pacsun collection was immensely all-American with the star spangled swimwear and rodeo crop tops, Caitlyn Jenner’s stylist Jessica Diehl revealed that Jenner is also an, “all-American in so many ways.” In an interview with Vanity Fair, Diehl talks about her exciting experience to style Jenner for July’s Vanity Fair cover. Oh, and if you were completely stuck under a rock, the LGBTQIA community reached yet another kickass milestone as Caitlyn Jenner took everyone’s breath away on the cover of Vanity Fair.

While the cover was a wonderful surprise to many, Diehl had to hold in the big secret for a while. Diehl told Vanity Fair that, “it was not easy,” and how she is still, “getting a lot of angry text messages from friends, colleagues, and acquaintances.” In order to prep for the photo shoot, much of the inspiration was from, “Lauren Bacall to The Thomas Crown Affair,” but the all-American vibes were definitely from the, “vintage photographs of Old Hollywood stars.”

This is definitely a different style route from the more risqué Kardashians, but I’m loving the old American classy-elegance style that Jenner wants to embrace. I remember last month, Kim Kardashian opened up during Jimmy Kimmel Live about how she’s definitely willing to support Caitlyn through makeup tips and fashion advice, just as long as Jenner doesn’t steal her glam team.

Of course, it was just a joke, but even if it wasn’t, I don’t think Kim needs to worry too much, seeing that their glam style is very different. For the rest of the interview deets with Jessica Diehl, head over to Vanity Fair.
