Maunsur Gauvriel Clothing & Shoes Are Happening

Let's just take a deep breath before I disclose the following information. You should probably be sitting down for this, too. Beloved handbag brand Mansur Gavriel has plans to release clothing and shoes. Excuse me while I anxiously wait on their website, since their last backpack reportedly sold out in six minutes.

As we all know, the CFDA awards on Monday night were a big effing deal. Our fave twins, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen took home the Womenswear Designer of the Year award for a second year in a row. Tom Ford won Menswear, and Tabitha Simmons nabbed the Accessories Designer of the Year. Coming alongside the big designer names was Mansur Gavriel, who snagged the Swarovski Award for Accessory Design.

It was definitely a big night for Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel, as they not only won the award, but revealed their brand's newly designed clothing and accessories. The two rocked "collared dresses in persimmon and coral...and and each carried a suede clutch with matching shoes—all of which they designed," according to Style.com.

In an e-mail to Style.com, Mansur and Gavriel said that they made the dresses in Italy, along with the shoes and clutches they paired with the dresses. They went on to say, "We’ve been developing clutches, among other things." Though, they noted that the launch of their clothing and accessories will not happen in the immediate future.

Based on the popularity of their bucket bag alone, we can guess that their future accessories and shoes will do pretty well. An expansion of a brand is always exciting, especially one with such a cult following. Judging from the pair's chic get ups, I am going to love their future additions.
