Naya Rivera's Memoir Is Coming In 2016!

by Emma Cueto

Good news, everyone! GalleyCat reports that Glee actress Naya Rivera's memoir is on the way! The star tweeted a link to a report that she'd inked a deal with a publisher, and that's good news... because anyone who says she's tired of celebrity memoirs is obviously lying.

The memoir, which is titled Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes, and Growing Up, will recount her "rags to riches" story, and everything she had to do to try to finally "make it" — including working as everything from a telemarketer to a waitress at Hooters. Rivera is best known for playing Santana Lopez on the FOX drama Glee, but prior to that she was also a child actress in the 1990s, appearing in a KMart commercial as a baby, and later landing small roles on sitcoms such as Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Family Matters while trying to find her big break.

According to Rivera's publishing house Tarcher, an imprint of Random House, the book will feature everything from “candid thoughts on topics ranging from dating... to the challenges of being mixed-race in Hollywood.” (Rivera is of Puerto Rican, African American, and German descent). We're hoping it will touch on her family, meeting her now-husband Ryan Dorsey, and her acting and singing careers, though there are few concrete details just yet.

The memoir is planned to be released some time in 2016. Go, Naya, go!
