6 Blair Waldorf-Approved Leighton Meester Covers

by Chelsea Mize

Leighton Meester is the definition of a triple threat. We knew she could act after her stint on Gossip Girl and then we quickly discovered that she also has a killer set of pipes. In the most recent installation of The A.V. Club's A.V. Undercover, Leighton Meester covered The Cardigans' "Lovefool." Which lead me to go in search of more Leighton Meester covers because I just couldn't get enough. Check out "Lovefool" and 5 other Leighton Meester covers below and I bet you'll be hooked too.

Though it's rather strange to see the musical side of Leighton after so many years of experiencing her as the sassy Blair Waldorf on Gossip Girl, I can't help but admit that this girl's the real deal.

Meester silently slid out of the post- Gossip Girl spotlight and turned full time musician on us. Leighton has put her acting career on hold to work on making herself a household name for her voice and not just for her illustrious depiction of Queen B. Meester recently released her debut LP entitled Heartstrings and if you haven't listened to it, you should check it out because it's an absolutely breathtaking album.

So listen out the latest episode of The A.V. Club's A.V. Undercover below in which Leighton Meester sings a lovely cover of The Cardigans' "Lovefool." Then, once you realize how obsessed you are with her voice, proceed on down the rest of these delightful Leighton Meester covers that are sure to be a treat on the ears.
