The Trailer For 'Playing House' Season 2 Is Here!

We did it, y'all! Lennon Parham and Jessica St. Clair are back on our TV screens again! Well, soon enough. Playing House has been renewed for Season 2 on USA and I have the clip to prove it. The new season will premiere on Aug. 4 at 10 p.m. on USA.

If you haven't seen Playing House, get out of my face this instant. Not because I'm mad at you, but because you should waste no time catching up. Do you like Parks and Recreation, Gilmore Girls, Bunheads, or anything good? You'll love Playing House.

The first season focused around Parham and St. Clair's characters, Maggie and Emma, making the decision to raise Maggie's baby together as best friends. It ended with the Big Birth, and Playing House fans called "jammers" (myself included) started getting anxious for more immediately. We waited. No word. We waited some more. The hashtags began. Finally, after months of this madness, a second season was announced. Sometimes it helps to cause a ruckus!

So many campaigns to renew favorites fall to the wayside, or have to rely on the streaming platforms in shining armor to rescue them and give them a new home. Playing House is a rare success story. USA had nothing to lose by renewing a summer sitcom with these awesome ladies. Why am I making such a big deal about the passion of the Jammers? The first official trailer for Season 2 shows the many, many pleas from fans and critics (including Bustle I might add) alike to keep the show on the air. Check it out! The gang's all back.

I am so pumped for more of this fresh, upbeat, and kind-hearted comedy about small towns and female friendship to be back on the air. Playing House forever!
