by Annie Crawford

Apple cider vinegar may be the new nectar of the gods. An apple cider vinegar detox claims to rid your body of toxins, while an apple cider vinegar and honey mashup seems to be the face mask du jour. With all these fabulous uses, why would we not use apple cider vinegar as a body wash, too?

In case you weren't in the know, the magic vinegar of apples has been found to have an unending amount of benefits. Apparently, ACV can cure cystic acne and is also touted as an internal health cure for everything from diabetes to high cholesterol by supporting an alkaline diet. It can replace your chemical-filled shampoo as a natural hair rinse solution. What's not to love?

Many people feel particularly strongly about Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar benefits, but any organic, unfiltered apple cider vinegar with "mother" will do. The "mother" is those creepy web-like strands that drag around the bottom of the vinegar bottle. Don't be scared, those are enzymes, friendly bacteria, and proteins creating that swampy appearance. They are what help you reap all the benefits of this super sauce.

Here are three fantastic ways to use apple cider vinegar as a body wash and soak.

1. Apple Cider Vinegar Bath

If you have had an overly toxic weekend, and need to let the cocktails, perfume, and good times drain from your body, try this detox soak by Wellness Mama.
