It's Time We Honor The Real Househusbands

by Marenah Dobin

I love everything about Real Housewives, but I imagine that it is not so easy to be married to them. The Real Househusbands, as I call them, do not get enough credit or attention in my opinion. And a lot of these men are not only husbands, but they're also dads and they deserve to be recognized for being great fathers and spending time with their children.

From participating in sports games to supporting their children at dance competitions, these men are just as involved as their reality show wives when it comes to raising a family. The ladies might live their lives in the spotlight, but the guys are just as impressive when it comes to parenting.

Even though the husbands do not usually get a lot of air time on the Real Housewives shows, there have been plenty of great photos posted to social media over the years of the Househusbands with their kids (Real Housechildren?). From throwback snaps to recent photos, each memory is equally adorable and nice to see.

Let's give the Real Househusbands some love and check them out in their element as fathers. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words and these photos show a lot about the Real Househusbands and their family lives.

Joe Giudice

Legal troubles aside, it's got to be pretty tough being Joe Giudice. He is the only man in a family with four daughters, and I'm sure he's been to a ton of dance recitals, soccer games, and gymnastics meets at this point. I know he's a pretty polarizing reality star, but you can't say that he isn't present for his children.

Terry Dubrow

I'm not really sure what's going on in this picture, but it looks like Terry is having a great time getting silly with his daughters. It's nice to see that a busy plastic surgeon can make time for family.

Mauricio Umansky

Mauricio Umansky has always been a pretty good looking dude, but he looks like the ideal husband and father in this throwback photo with his daughter Alexia and Barney the dinosaur. How precious.

Ken Todd

Ken was beaming with joy in this photo with his baby daughter Pandora. I'm not going to lie, Ken looks pretty much the same these days. The man is really aging well.

David Beador

David and Shannon Beador have been going through the ringer with their marital problems on this season of The Real Housewives of Orange County, but he is making a consistent effort to be present in the lives of their children. He even coached their basketball team last season. How sweet!

Jim Edmonds

We are only just getting to know Jim Edmonds as new husband on RHOC , but it's clear he loves his kids. He posted this throwback photo with his children having a great time on the golf course.

Mario Singer

The status between Mario and Ramona Singer is pretty unclear, but he will always be Avery's father. Ramona even revealed that the father/daughter duo have patched things up on a recent episode of The Real Housewives of New York City, which was very nice to hear.

Joe Gorga

Joe Gorga and his children rocked their perfect Italian tans while they chilled on a boat. The Gorga children are always well behaved and smiling, so Joe has to be doing something right.

Todd Tucker

Todd celebrated his daughter Kaela's 19th birthday with this father/daughter selfie at a sports game. I wonder if he and Kandi Burruss will be adding a new baby to their blended family at some point soon?

Harry Hamlin

Lisa Rinna's husband taught their daughters the importance of giving back at the Los Angeles Mission. Is this the secret Harry Hamlin deed that Kim Richards was teasing about on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?

Josh Taekman

Even though Kristen Taekman has been on RHONY for two seasons now, we don't really know her husband Josh. And given the shredded body in this photo, that is a real shame — I mean, he's seems to be a great father! Go, Josh!

I love the ladies of Real Housewives, but it's nice to give their husbands some credit and attention sometimes, too. As for whether they should get their own series... We might be good with the ladies for now!
