James Franco Debuts Family Cat Portrait On 'Ellen' & 11 Other Celebs Who Love Their Felines

Three things that we all love: James Franco, Ellen DeGeneres, and cats. On Monday, Franco appeared on Ellen to promote his new movie Homefront that will hit theaters on Nov. 27 but naturally, they talked about cats. Franco, who's not shy about his love for cats (just check his Instagram), talked about how whenever his family gets together, they all bring their cats and take a photo. (His are the happiest.)

If you were already planning your future with James Franco, now you can look forward your family portraits together with your pets. Franco, who tells Ellen that he was raised as a cat person, has four cats of his own— Sammy, Zelda and a pair of twin black cats that he adopted off of the Homefront set named Max and Lux. Meow.

Franco's not the only celeb who's feline obsessed — take a look.

Katy Perry

Katy Perry and her feline, Kitty Purry, are BFFs. On Katy's California Dreams Tour a human-sized Kitty Purry joined her on stage for performances.

Taylor Swift

Swift's Instagram and Twitter accounts are peppered with photos of her Scottish Fold, Meredith, complete with "imaginary" conversations between the two. (Meredith's not really impressed with her sold-out crowds.)

The British Revenge actress can't stand to be apart from her cat Oscar and even has a passport for her furry friend so he can travel with her while she's working.

Nina Dobrev

Moke is one of the three cats Nina shares with ex-boyfriend and Vampire Diaries co-star Ian Somerhalder. It's great that they keep it together for their furry "kids".

Ian Somerhalder

One of TV's sexiest vampires isn't superstitious at all. Somerhalder, an open supporter of animal rights, posted this photo on his Instagram around Halloween to encourage people to adopt black cats and dogs. Swoon.

Karl Lagerfeld

The world's chicest cat, Choupette Lagerfeld, and fashion's most influential man (and her BFF), Karl are a match made in couture heaven.

Russell Brand

So you hate Russell Brand? Yeah, he is kind of a jerk. But he really loves his temperamental kitty, Morrissey. When the cat was having a hard time getting used to Katy and Kitty Purry, he called in a cat psychiatrist to try to quiet Morrissey's mind. Aww.

Jesse Eisenberg

So you hate Jesse Eisenberg? That's fine. But you definitely won't hate him anymore (or at least you'll hate him a little less) when you find out that he fosters homeless cats and made this video for the Washington Animal Rescue league.

Emmy Rossum

Emmy adopted her cat named Fiona G., after her character on Showtime's Shameless, off of the streets of Chicago in Dec. 2010. How cute is that?

Last but not least...

Because we just couldn't resist. Here are selected shots from the James Franco cat calendar that Ellen made for him and gifted him with on Monday.
