The MTV 'Scream' Cast You Need To Know Before The Killer Picks Them Off One By One

It has been almost 20 years since the first Scream film premiered, and now MTV is reinventing and adapting the popular slasher series for a weekly horror show. The show, which weaves in the dark past of Lakewood, follows a group of teenagers — portrayed by an entirely fresh-faced Scream cast — who have recently been shaken by the gruesome murder of popular girl Nina Patterson (Bella Thorne). In the wake of her murder, the teens have to deal with a killer who seems to have a agenda of his own.

The cast is different from the original film (so, no… there is no Drew Barrymore), but in a way, fans of the original film will see commonalities throughout the characters that will feel like the young, hip 2015 sister to the 1996 film series. The cast is full of fresh new faces who are bound to make a name for themselves in the series that will make you never want to fall asleep in the dark again. Here are the people you need to know, maybe fear, on MTV’s Scream.

Willa Fitzgerald as Emma Duval

Willa Fitzgerald plays Emma Duvall in the remake. Emma is the good girl in town, and always sees the good in people. The kind-hearted nature of Emma makes her vulnerable and easily taken advantage of by the killer.

Fitzgerald has played recurring roles in Royal Pains and Alpha House, along with a guest role in Gotham.

Amadeus Serafini as Kieran Wilcox

Amadeus Serafini kind of plays the wildcard in Scream. Kieran Wilcox is the new guy in town who has no interest in being popular. Expect there to be some shipping with him and Emma, because these two are going to have chemistry.

Serafini hasn’t starred in many projects (Scream is only his third credited role on IMDB). Although, from the looks of him, I don’t think this will be the last we hear of Serafini.

John Karna as Noah Foster

Keep your eye out for Noah Foster. Noah is the ultimate computer nerd in Scream, with the capability of hacking. On top of that, he’s obsessed with crime and horror films. He knows everything there is to know about the past of Lakewood… which seems like that could mean something else, right?

As for the actor, John Karna, he’s had a few small roles here and there (Law & Order: SVU, Modern Family, American Storage), but Scream could be his breakout role.

Bex Taylor-Klaus as Audrey Jensen

Audrey Jensen is at the center of the cyberbullying incident that acts as the catalyst for this entire horrific murder rampage. Audrey is fearless and isn’t afraid to stand for what she believes in amongst her peers, even if that doesn’t make her the popular girl.

As for Bex Taylor-Klaus, well she knows scary. She starred in The Killing as Bullet (a homeless girl), House of Lies, and Arrow. She’s also had a guest spot on Glee, as Bex, so she knows how to act on both sides of the spectrum.

Connor Weil as Will Belmont

Will Belmont is Emma’s boyfriend for over a year. He’s a charming guy, but has his faults, which are definitely addressed when Kieran Wilcox comes to town.

Connor Weil, the actor that portrays Will, might look familiar as he was in a little film called Sharknado. Earlier in 2015, Weil was in McFarland, USA which starred Kevin Costner.

Carlson Young as Brooke Maddox

Brooke is the quickly-deceased Nina’s second-in-command. Brooke is textbook mean-girl, but when it comes to her popular friends, she’ll do anything for them. So make sure your on her good side.

Carlson has done her fair share of scary shows. She starred as Amber Victorino in Pretty Little Liars, and Tammy in True Blood. She’s also shown her funny side with roles on Key and Peele, Kroll Show, and Big Time Rush.
