Alessandra Ambrosio Stole The Show At Balmain
It's menswear fashion show season, which is never as exciting as women's, no matter how cool the clothes are (sorry, boys). However, on Saturday, a supermodel surprised the audience at Balmain during Paris Fashion Week. Alessandra Ambrosio walked the runway at Balmain in structural dresses, which, IMHO, provided a breath of fresh air.
Ambrosio wasn't the only female model who hit the runway. An Instagram photo the model posted showed the whole crew backstage, including two other female models. Ambrosio's structural, earth-toned dresses were hard to ignore as she strutted down the runway. Her first look was a long-sleeved nude minidress with tall black gladiator sandals and a heavy black statement necklace. Next, she wore a long-sleeved brown gown with an intricate pattern. Ambrosio's slicked back hair accentuated the model's amazing bone structure.
The female models drew attention to the menswear outfits, which were safari and military themed.
Male models in lace-up boots, heavy jackets with leather details, and matching brown hats walked down the runway, broken up every so often by a female model.
The shades of khaki and brown continued the theme, as did the other female models' earth toned outfits.
Ambrosio posted multiple Instagrams of the event, including one with the caption "A girl in a boy's world," clearly showing how she lit up the event.
I'm a bit surprised they didn't ask Kendall Jenner to walk the show, considering how tight the Kardashian-Jenner clan are with the fashion house. Maybe next year!
