Get Kate's Dress From Charlotte's Christening

by Christie Drozdowski

Gathered today for Princess Charlotte's christening, the royals, as always, dressed to a tee for the special celebration. And what Kate Middleton wore to Charlotte's christening was a lovely way to commemorate her daughter's baptism. As we saw in 2013, the Duchess donned a Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen cream, peplum dress. Her wedding dress was also created by the same designer. The cream ensemble, complete with a Jane Taylor hat and perfectly matched heels, was a stunning complement to the christening gown Prince George was wearing.

For baby Charlotte's special day, the Duchess chose the exact same theme. She sported yet another Alexander McQueen creation in the form of a cream coat dress, and in combination with her hat, she managed to stick to tradition at her children's christening ceremonies.

As we've come to know about Middleton, she never lets an opportunity to grace us with her incredibly chic and confident royal style pass. Considering Charlotte's baptism is only Middleton's second appearance in public since Princess Charlotte's birth (she joined the family on the palace balcony for the Queen's official birthday in June), it's exciting to see how the new mother of two is dressing these days. Though her sense of style hasn't seemed to change much since having children, there's certainly an air of calmness and nurture in her appearance as a royal mama.
