Where To Get Kate's Hat From The Royal Christening

by Jodie Layne

Did someone get baptized today or something? Hmm, I didn't notice because I was so busy being distracted by trying to figure out where to buy Kate Middleton's hat from Charlotte's christening. We're given a veritable buffet of ridiculous, intricate fascinators and hats from royal baptisms all over the world — and the christening of Princess Charlotte was no exception. Her baptism brought all the hats to the yard, but none more elegant than the Duchess of Cambridge's. Now, you may not have a royal christening of your own to attend anytime soon, but you never know when some good quality millinery is going to come in handy.

So where can you buy Middleton's hat to have and to hold for your very own? Well, that's not likely to happen unless you're the Duchess. The white hat is likely a bespoke creation by Jane Taylor, who designed the hat Middleton wore for Prince George's christening. I mean, it's not as versatile as a simple snapback or five-panel hat, but apparently those don't go over too well at royal functions. Maybe that's why I never get invited.

For those of us who are simple commoners, you can buy a similar style on Etsy or scour vintage stores for a lookalike.

Whether you're looking to nab the hat for a Will and Kate costume, a fancy dress party, or just looking for a little something special to do your weekly chores in (hey — I don't judge), this hat is sure to make you feel like royalty.
