Who Designed Kate's Rad Christening Coat?

by Jodie Layne

By now we know that Princess Charlotte wore the same christening gown as Prince George, her older brother. The Duchess of Cambridge, however, definitely did not wear a hand-me-down to christen her daughter in — but who designed the coat Kate Middleton wore to Charlotte's christening? Sure, I guess there were technically "more important things" happening at the church; but in my opinion, fashion trumps all and Middleton's crisp ivory coat was definitely noteworthy.

The royal family was definitely dressed way up for Sunday Service when they joined William and Kate at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Norfolk for the royal christening on Sunday, but Middleton stood out in the her all-white ensemble. The focal point of the Duchess' ensemble was easily the tailored, elegant coat by Alexander McQueen. The stunning piece was perfectly feminine and demure, and balanced out Middleton's christening hat.

Middleton choosing to wear McQueen for the occasion comes as little surprise, as the design house is one of the Duchess' favorite and most-worn — she even wore a McQueen gown for her wedding! The jacket doesn't seem to be available for purchase on McQueen's online store yet and it may never be: Middleton has been known to wear custom Alexander McQueen coats in the past.

While today was technically all about baby Charlotte, we know it was really about Kate's outfit and she definitely delivered in style.
