Serena Williams Stuns At The Champion's Dinner

by Eliza Florendo

Seems like tennis isn't the only thing on Serena Williams' mind — as the world's number one female singles tennis player, she's taking over a different type of court: fashion. Of course, she's already slaying — at the Wimbledon Champion's Dinner, Serena Williams looked stunning in a pinky-nude gown.

Just this Saturday, she won her sixth Wimbledon title. Sixth. Meanwhile, it takes most of us about three alarms in the morning to get up for a run. To commemorate the win, Williams rocked a pink gown, embellished with a high neckline, and featured two drapes on each side that flowed every time she took a step.

As for her hair and makeup, she went with a natural lip, straight hair, and a slight smoky eye. But this isn't the first time she's made headlines — from high slits, to deep Vs, to sexy bodycon dresses, Williams pretty much kills every look on the red carpet. Hell, even at the beach, she still manages to look glam.

She's definitely had some crazy fashion moments. Remember the Met Gala, in her sequined top and feather bottomed dress, hat and headpiece included? Oh, and her mermaid gown at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party with cuts that showed off her insane physique? Williams is definitely not afraid to take risks, and I respect the hell out of her for it. She's rocked ensembles from Burberry, Victoria Beckham, Narciso Rodriguez, and Zac Posen.

Best of all, J.K. Rowling started the #serenaslam hashtag, after critics tried to body-shame the athlete, saying Williams is built like a man. She responded to one of the haters with a Tweet reading, "She is built like a man. Yeah, my husband looks just like this in a dress. You’re an idiot." Then moved on to Tweeting "#SerenaSlam! I love her. What an athlete, what a role model, what a woman!"
