Alexander Wang's Fall 2015 Campaign Goes Goth Glam

by Lindsey Rose Black

Alexander Wang continues his deep dive into punk metal-esque goth fashion. As revealed in Fashionista, Alexander Wang's fall 2015 campaign is dark, sharp, and studded. The pieces demand attention, balancing the line between costume and night owl chic.

Wang gave us a preview of his interest in edgy metal goth looks earlier this February at the Alexander Wang fall runway show. The runway featured moody-faced models with slicked down hair pounding down the runway to dark techno music in studded platforms. Can you say fierce?

The fall campaign takes this attitude even further. Models posed outside at an abandoned concrete and brick space, chins cocked, looking like the kind of girls you really don't want to piss off. Full disclosure, the pics kind of reminded me of T-Swift's Bad Blood video. Are groups of badass, chic-looking gals the latest version of #BodyPositive?

In the campaign pics, the models wear studded collars, velvet tops, lace-up platforms, and straight up chainmail mesh. It's the kind of clothing that, if you're going to wear, you just have to commit and own it. Given Kylie Jenner and Lorde's penchant for goth, maybe we can expect the two celebs to start rocking pieces from the line?

It may not exactly be office wear, but you've got to hand it to Wang for walking the line between goth gang and couture chic so effortlessly.

Also. Let's stop and appreciate that studded backpack.

And those shoes. Hot dang.
