Lily Rose Depp Is Chanel's Newest Face

We should have seen this one coming: Lily-Rose Depp is Chanel's newest face! Depp has been making waves in the fashion scene ever since she stepped into the spotlight of the Chanel Salzburg-NYC event in April. The model and actress — whose genetically gifted parents are actor Johnny Depp and model Vanessa Paradis — is without a doubt stunning, and she's putting her good looks for a bit now. She made her editorial debut back in April for Oyster mag, and now the gorgeous model has been chosen for the Chanel's Pearl eyewear collection campaign. The first images are giving me a totally retro, awesomely '60s vibe.

The 15-year-old is no stranger to the Chanel label. In fact, she's been featured at or attended almost every Chanel event in the past couple of months. Just barely over a week ago, Depp was in attendance at the fashion house's Fall 2015 Haute Couture show which featured several celebrities playing cards around traditional gambling tables in the center of the runway. Depp, alongside mother Vanessa Paradis, was seated at one of these tables. Other celebrities like Kristen Steward, Julianne Moore, and Lily Collins joined the gang of gamblers while the show took place, but Depp was definitely part of what made the event so stunning.

Depp's connection with the house may be what prompted designer and creator extraordinaire Karl Lagerfeld to choose the model and actress for his latest eyewear campaign. Of Depp, Lagerfeld says, "Lily-Rose is stunning, she's a young girl from a new generation with all the qualities of a star," and I couldn't agree with him more. The images of her for the campaign are stunning and show Depp rocking killer white, pearl shades, flawless skin, and a dark lip that is totally chic. Her gorgeous floral dress adds an extra level of femininity to the campaign that's perfect for fashion house.

Basically, Lily Rose Depp has already proven that she's light years cooler than most people, and she's also shown that her creative skills are on point with that uncool but actually cool "Sour Sixteen" she hosted. The truth is that Lily-Rose has the stunning looks, cool demeanor, and love of Chanel that make her the perfect face for the brand, and we can't wait to get a closer look at the campaign that will launch in print in September.
