Emmy Nominees React To Nods On Twitter

by Maitri Suhas

It's 11:30 a.m. ET on a Thursday in mid-July, so you know what that means... the Emmy nominations are here! On Thursday morning, Orange Is The New Black star Uzo Aduba and Dancing With The Stars host Cat Deeley announced the nominations for the 67th annual Emmy Awards, leading those who have been speculating and predicting nominees pat themselves on the back as many fan-favorites were among the nominees (though, that's not to say the nominations were without snubs). And stars were watching with bated breath, too, reacting to the news themselves Twitter. Because who wouldn't be thrilled to get an Emmy nomination in this golden age of television?!

A big but welcome surprise was the nomination of Tatiana Maslany, who has long been snubbed for her performance on the BBC America show Orphan Black (or should I say, multiple performances)? Amy Schumer was super excited for the extremely talented Maslany, and also, for HERSELF, because the comedian was nominated for Inside Amy Schumer, another win for her in a phenomenal year. She tweeted at Maslany, "#notsnubbed," which, honestly, is my reaction, too. I love the Emmy Awards, but am often sad when genuine talent is overlooked year after year (Jon Hamm has never won an Emmy for Mad Men, but this could finally be his year!) — so the fact that these nominations were pretty inclusive is an exciting prospect.

Here are some of the best reactions from the stars themselves, because even veteran actors get giddy like little kids when they get Emmy noms:
