What Will Viola Davis Wear To The Emmys?

How To Get Away With Murder fans rejoice! Leading lady Viola Davis was nominated for an Emmy in the "Lead Actress in a Drama Series" category, which is definitely cause for celebration. I mean, take a look at the nominations list. She's in pretty great company! My guess is that it's going to be an awesome awards season.

But with ceremonies like the Emmys comes something a little more buzzy than who ends up taking home the trophy — what will everyone be wearing? Now that we all know who's up for a win, it's also time to get started making those red carpet predictions. They will most likely be far from correct, but who cares? This is the fun part!

When it comes to Davis, predicting what this actress — who is a "best dressed list" occupier — is a little tricky, since nearly everything she wears looks that fabulous. But, it does seem that Davis tends to lean towards bold colors that highlight her gorgeous frame. Take her breathtaking Vera Wang dress from the 2012 Oscars, which was the most perfect shade of green, or the stark white number she wore to the 2015 SAG awards. Davis definitely knows how to stand out on the red carpet.

So, let's assume that she will follow in her own bold and breathtaking footsteps and wear one of the following runway showstoppers.

Short and Sweet

This Herve Leger number may be shorter than what's typically sported at the Emmys, but this blue and green-patterned dress would highlight Davis' amazing figure.

Red Carpet-Level Metallic

Davis has worn her fair share of Zac Posen in the past, so it wouldn't be surprising if she went back to the designer for the Emmys. Perhaps Posen will choose this stand-out metallic fabric for Davis' dress, because she can rock it.

Majorly Bold in Versace

If anyone should rock an asymmetrical, bold yellow gown at the Emmys, it should definitely be Davis. This Versace dress would totally do the trick.

Interesting Silhouette

This red-orange hue from Vera Wang is absolutley stunning, and though it's not a silhouette Davis has been spotted in before, the interesting combination of textures and cuts is definitely something she could pull off.

Let's hope she chooses one of these stunners for the big night!
