Target's Latest Collab Is With A 7-Year-Old

by Renata Certo-Ware

Target, a wallet-friendly superstore where you can buy trash bags, a laptop, and a rainbow of cute maxi-dresses in one stop, has also been home to enough designer collabs to be considered fashion's (albeit unlikely) mecca. And now, their latest has been announced: Target and Stevie Madden (yep, Steve Madden's daughter) are launching a line of shoes on July 19. And the 7-year-old wunderkind doesn't simply design. Armed with a top-knot and the biggest smile you've ever seen, Stevie also put her best foot forward (yup, I did that) as a model for the line. The tiny protegé is now the store's youngest collaborator in its history.

The collection, named "Stevies," consists of 30 different styles, from leopard-printed desert shoes to pretty-in-pink slides ranging from $21.99 to $36.99. Stevies launches in stores and online just in time for back-to-school shopping. OK, midsummer is a little early for back-to-school, but I can see the kind of girl who would love these shoes — cough, a young me, cough cough — would need to get her hands on these, ASAP. What you wear on the first day of school does kind of define your year, after all!

The younger Madden has a biiiig personality, and although she's only just begun to follow in her dad's glittering footsteps, she already outshines him in cuteness, as evidenced by this BTS video Target that posted of the little designer/model/mogul.

Turns out, when it comes to branding, Stevie, who named each shoe model with a popular hashtag like #lol and #dressup, has something in common with Moschino's Jeremy Scott, who also used a hashtag to name his upcoming Fall 2015 collection. But you know what Scott doesn't have? A Target line.
