Be Prepared For More Wren In 'PLL' Season 6

If there's one thing every Pretty Little Liars fan can agree on, it's the fact that Wren Kingston is one very shady dude. Seriously, this guy has been on our A watch list for years now and we're still not entirely sure what to make of him. Is Wren A? Is Wren Charles DiLaurentis? Is he actually an ally? (Which would, by far, be the greatest shock of all.) And while these alleged drunkgate spoilers may have solidified your theories about this suspicious doctor — depending on whether or not you think this Reddit user is legit — this character still remains a huge question mark in many ways. So what does that mean? Well, it's simple, really. It means that Wren needs to return to PLL ASAP, so fans can finally get to the bottom of his true intentions. And from the look of things, a Wren appearance in Season 6 is not only possible, but highly probable.

Of course, I have no concrete evidence that Julian Morris will come back to Rosewood this season. (You know PLL better than to think it would reveal such a pivotal piece of intel.) However, the actor did admit to Entertainment Weekly late last year that he's remained in contact with I. Marlene King and recently discussed his future role in the show. "Marlene [King] and I had breakfast a couple weeks ago and really talked about the character," Morris shared with the site. "He’s definitely still very much a part of the realm of PLL. Really good ideas have been discussed. There’s a lot [potential] to come back, even if it’s just a little bit." That seems to support the Wren-is-Charles theory, as detailed in the video below.

Sounds to me like this character still has a very pivotal part to play in the series (perhaps as Jason and Ali's long lost sibling?), which means it's only a matter of time before he reemerges himself into Rosewood. But hey, that interview was from quite a while ago so maybe you're not fully convinced by that alone. No problem. Then it's also worth mentioning that while Morris hasn't confirmed that he'll appear in any upcoming PLL episodes, the same cannot be said for Torrey DeVitto, who, as you know, plays Spencer's sister, Melissa Hastings.

DeVitto recently posted a photo of herself on the PLL set on Instagram, and the caption included the message, "she's baaaaccckkk." According to her IMDb, the actress is listed as appearing in Episode 13 of Season 6, which is scheduled to premiere in January 2016. This is definitely a step in the right direction to getting Wren back onto our screens. We've been made to believe that Wren and Melissa have been living our their lives in London together throughout these past few months. So if Melissa suddenly shows up, one can safely assume that Wren won't be too far behind.

If Wren is indeed Charles, then it would make perfect sense for him to pop up around that time. We've been promised to learn about Charles' identity sometime this summer, so if it turns out to be Wren, we'd want to be able to keep an especially close eye on him from here on out. Perhaps that's even why Melissa went back to Wren in the first place. Maybe she suspected that Wren was A all along and wanted to be able to keep close tabs on him.

Right now, it's impossible to say for sure. But given Melissa's pending return, I'd be shocked if Wren didn't join her. His hiatus from the show has gone on for far too long. This charming British doctor has some serious explaining to do and since this is supposedly the Summer of Answers, it only makes sense that he'd play a part in this complicAted puzzle.
