Get Margo Roth Spiegelman's Style In Every Size

by Katie Patton

Cara Delevigne has been killing it with epic style throughout the entire Paper Towns press tour, each ensemble edgy and chic and, in a satirical twist, a complete departure from her movie alter ego — the elusive Margo Roth Spiegelman. However, don't count John Green's rebellious leading lady out on the fashion front, because Margo Roth Spiegelman has copy-cat worthy style that is as free-spirited and ready for adventure as she is. While Delevigne has been rocking the red carpet, Margo has legendary, cool-kid street style that can inspire us as we head out to see Paper Towns.

I think it may actually be possible to hear a faint buzz in the air this week — caused, of course, by the Paper Towns trailer being played on repeat — as fans of John Green, Cara Delevigne, and Nat Wolff (aka the whole of the free world) prepare to flock to the theatre this weekend for the premiere. Over the years, Green has garnered a cult following, the larger-than-life super fandom helping fuel the massive success of The Fault in Our Stars last year. With an equally compelling story and a cast made up of the most obsessed over members of young Hollywood today, the expectations for Green’s latest book-turned-movie are just as high. And this time, at the center of it all, there is an intriguing, mysterious, self described “paper girl” who steals the spotlight.

It’s hard not to love Margo Roth Spiegelman, even during those times when you hate her a little for being a bit narcissistic, which she would obviously claim is fueled by her blatant hatred for falsity and the mundane. That’s right, she's just as beautifully complex as John Green’s other leading ladies. Also, she is Q's miracle, and I dare you to not love Q if you don't already.

What isn’t complicated, however, is her style. Margo’s free-spirited, adventurous nature spills over into her wardrobe, making for outfits that are effortless and edgy. In the trailer, Margo lovers can see her come to life and, dare I say, she is having a moment in those Converse, exactly as I had pictured it in my mind while frantically flipping pages.

While we only get a sneak peak (why is it not Friday yet?) it is already easy to see that Margo has cool-kid street style worth copying. Whether you are headed to the theatre to see Paper Towns or just need a little Margo Roth Spiegelman weekend wardrobe revamp, here are some ways to copy two of our paper girl's outfits.
