Sonia Rykiel's Campaign Stars Are Sister-Model OGs

by Renata Certo-Ware

Sibling rivalry is so last season. Now, it's all about sisterly love, and the latest to prove it are magazine mainstays and runway regulars: The genetically blessed daughters of Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall, Georgia May and Lizzy Jagger, who star in Sonia Rykiel's ad campaign for FW15.

The ladies have been stealing the spotlight in the French label's ads and on its runways for a while now. But this time around, the campaign is accompanied by a video, shot by Juergen Teller, the famed photographer who also shot the photos.

Photos from the campaign have already spread across social media like wildfire, but they will debut in glossy form on August 8th in Vogue UK. Then, in September, the video will be released as the collection begins hitting stores worldwide.

Rykiel's ads were shot for previous seasons in Paris, near the brand's studio on the Left Bank, but this time the Jaggers, Teller, and a trunkful of painfully chic FW15 accoutrements headed north to Le Vexin to shoot in the garden of Château d’Ambleville. Apparently, the photographer really loves it there; the château is also the site where Kanye styled Kim K in a spread for System Magzine, also lensed by Teller.

The two pose with the Château's tres chic statues and trees in crushed velvet, patchwork fur, and a mirrored miniskirt.

Both sisters have hit the runway for Ms. Rykiel, walking in the label's FW15 show in Paris this past March.

In fact, they're runway regulars along with other brat packers like Bella and Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, and Hailey Baldwin.

Speaking of the sisters Hadid and Jenner, is it just me or are genetically-blessed siblings back in style like it's 1999? (The Olsons, Tia and Tamara Mowry, etc.)

Who can forget the time (last week) when Balmain broke the internet - or at least social media - when it revealed not one, not two, but three pairs of celeb sisters in it's newest ad campaign, which stars the Jenners, the Hadids, and the Smalls.

I'm loving the love, humor, and closeness that only siblings share in both campaigns. And hey, Rykiel: When brother/sister campaigns become a thing, my little bro and I are ready!
