Some Things Are Worse Than Jon Snow's 'GoT' Death

It pretty much goes without saying at this point that Jon Snow's Game of Thrones death was a devastating shock to us all. Even people who don't watch the show having been talking about it and theorizing whether or not this character could possibly be gone for good. That's how massive this story arc has become. And while the evidence of Kit Harington's return to the GoT set continues to pile up, that still didn't make his brutal stabbing by the Night's Watch any less painful to endure. (Though I'm sure it wasn't a picnic for Jon either.) I mean, here was a guy who was desperately trying to save everyone and ended up facing mutiny against his own men. That's pretty devastating stuff right there.

But, as difficult as it may be to believe, there are a few things out there that actually hurt worse than Jon Snow's demise. (Gasp!) I know that's a pretty tall claim to make given the sheer magnitude of despair this particular GoT moment has caused, however, I was able to come up with a couple of rare instances that I found to be much more difficult to cope with. So at the risk of facing my own Night's Watch stabbing, here's what I, personally, have found to be more painful than our beloved bastard's grim fate. (Also, you may want to grab some tissues for a few of these.)

When Mufasa Died In The Lion King

I'd normally warn you against spoilers here, but if you have yet to watch The Lion King then I'm not entirely certain you're living your life to its full potential. This is an incredible film, but it has the ability to tear your heartstrings right out of your chest thanks to this devastating moment. Heck, this image alone is enough to send you spiraling toward an emotional breakdown. No, I'm not crying, YOU'RE crying.

When Rose Had To Let Go In Titanic

I mean, this one pretty much goes without saying, right? Nothing can feel more heartbreaking than watching an epic love story reach such a tragic and unfair end. No one can watch this scene without weeping. No one.

When Harry Stamper Said Goodbye To His Daughter In Armageddon

It doesn't matter how many times you've seen it, those waterworks can't help but start flowing when this father-daughter duo say their final goodbyes to each other. And don't even get me started on that Aerosmith song.

When NBC Canceled Hannibal

Guys, I'm still not over it and will never be over it. #sorrynotsorry #savehannibal

When Vada Sobbed Over Thomas J.'s Casket In My Girl

SO. MANY. FEELINGS.

When Jane The Virgin Got Almost Zero Emmy Love

This is unacceptable and an unfair snub to a truly great breakout series. You messed up big time on this one, Emmy voters.

Whenever Pretty Little Liars Goes On Hiatus

Or basically any time Caleb cries. The struggle is real, folks.

The First 10 Minutes Of Up

It doesn't matter that these characters are animated. This is completely heartbreaking. *weeps forever*

When Marley Gets Sick In Marley & Me

Couple that with this touching voiceover and you'll be down for the count: "A dog judges others not by their color or creed or class but by who they are inside. A dog doesn't care if you are rich or poor, educated or illiterate, clever or dull. Give him your heart and he will give you his."

Now, if you need me, I'll just be over here sobbing into my computer screen.
