Katy Perry Shows Off Her Pixie For 'Vogue' Japan

The Kris Jenner punkish pixie is here to stay! At least for Katy Perry, who covers Vogue Japan with her short 'n' dark pixie that looks exactly like the one Jenner has been rocking since her family was thrust into the spotlight.

Perry landed the September cover of the mag, wearing a barely there and embellished, soft pink Prada slip dress and posing with some seriously wide-eyed innocence. Perry's baby blues are prominently dolled up in her many COVERGIRL ads, but they truly pop on this cover.

The look is super '60s mod, thanks to the pixie with disheveled bangs, her frosty pink lipstick, and sooty, rimmed eyes. Mod is timeless and always in style, even if it so distinct and indicative of a specific period.

But honestly, when Perry revealed her Kris Jenner-like hair back on April Fool's Day, I thought it was her little "haha" joke for the day, but it seems the look real and here to stay. Since Perry changes colors and lengths often, I always suspected that her natural strands were short from all the processing damage that inevitably happens when you swap looks so much.

Perry has now worn this look often, from the Vogue cover to the Met Gala to her Moschino ads. The Katy x Kris 'do is no one-off.

It's all about those eyes. Yes, Perry is a busty beauty and her tatas fill out the Prada frock. But I am transfixed by the light and dark contrast of her peepers. Her bangs are razored and shorter, revealing more of her eyes.

Perry debuted her Jenner 'do months ago and it totally wasn't a Kris copy. Jenner's bangs are usually blown out and sleek, while Perry opted for chunky, piecey, and eyebrow-grazing.

Perry's pixie is usually wavy, which is a stark contrast to Jenner's signature style.

It's got a messy texture.

The Kardashian matriarch is usually sleek and blown out with her locks.

She does indeed do piecey, but not in as heavy-handed a fashion as KP.

Perry was in the buff for her Moschino ad and she went au naturel with her locks.

She just donned a lavender wig and/or extensions with side suicide rolls for a new fragrance launch, covering up her pixie! You can't do this 'do unless you conceal shorter natural strands. Those allow for tight-fitting wigs.

The fact that the Perry pixie was on full display in fashion ads, at the biggest fashion event of the year, and on a mag cover means it is real and might be stickign around for awhile.

She can pull off electric blue hair as easily as she can a pixie. I have already moved on and am waiting to see what she does next.
