Why Are Millennials Getting Off To This?

by Kristine Fellizar

Whatever you’re into sexually, there’s most likely a porn video for that. The dark crevices of the Internet are filled with all kinds of stuff catered to fulfilling your masturbatory needs no matter how different your tastes may be. Because, hey, no judgement. As PornHub noted in a recent survey release, “Where there is Internet sensation, there is generally a tieback to porn.” So true. In today’s edition of childhood-ruining porn, we’ll be talking to you about My Little Pony porn searches, because if the newly released PornHub survey has anything to say about it, millennials just love getting off on magical, friendship-loving ponies. Does the term clopping mean anything to anyone? If it doesn’t now, it will soon enough.

According to the survey, men are 37 percent more likely to search for MLP porn than women, and a good majority of those people are millennials between 18 to 24 years old. In fact, millennials were found to be 290 percent more likely to search for MLP porn in comparison to older age groups. Which, if you think about it, makes sense since the show made its debut in 2010.

If you’re not familiar with them, “bronies” are fans of the hit Hasbro Studios’ TV show, My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. According to a Daily Mail report, a good 80 percent of them are male, and most are between the ages of 16 and 35, though there are some who are well into their 40s. The community of bronies has grown throughout the years that a BronyCon convention is held every year that caters to over 8,000 fans from all across the globe. This year’s BronyCon will take place in early August in Baltimore. As you can imagine, BronyCon is filled with sorts of MLP fandom craziness including vendors, elaborate cosplays, and special guest speakers from the show.

The study found that most bronies are located in the U.S. and the U.K., which is where the largest brony conventions are held. However, Central and Eastern Europe is home to bronies who search for MLP porn the most. In fact, MLP porn is 462 percent more likely to be searched for in Belarus over any other place in the world. What’s up with Belarus? I don’t know. But apparently, a lot of masturbating or “clopping” to cartoon ponies. Again, no judgement. These porn searches are 427 percent more likely in Russia and 326 percent more likely in Ukraine. Rounding out the top five are the Czech Republic and Puerto Rico. Meanwhile, the U.S. ranks pretty low on the list as being 22 percent likely to search for MLP porn.

Because this whole My Little Pony fetish thing is weirdly fascinating, here are the most commonly used MLP porn searches on PornHub:

1. “My Little Pony”/ “MLP”

Very simple and straight to the point. It’s no wonder why these two search terms were the highest ranked on the list.

2. "Clop"/ "Clopping"/ "Clopper"

The term clop is defined by Urban Dictionary as "To masturbate. Often used by Bronies." According to Mic.com, cloppers are the "black sheep" of the brony community. Apparently, being a brony is a completely innocent thing. It's the cloppers who turn the My Little Pony fandom into some kind of a sexual fetish.

3. "MLP Futa" / "MLP Hentai"

OK, so here's where things may start to get a little...different. "MLP Futa" and "Hentai" take the fourth and fifth spots in the ranking of top MLP search terms. I'm sure you're probably more familiar with hentai, which is essentially Japanese cartoon porn. But according to PornHub, MLP futa refers to a pornified version of the pony, Fluttershy. Futa is short for the hentai term, 'futanari,' which is where a female character is given male genitalia. Since we're talking porn here, cartoon ponies have porn names as well. In this case, Fluttershy is known as "Futashy."

4. "Brony"

Because, of course.

5. "Rainbow Dash MLP"/ "MLP Rarity"/ "Pinkie Pie MLP" / "MLP Queen Chrysalis" / "MLP Derpy" / "Princess Celestia MLP" / "MLP Twilight"

If you're wondering who the most masturbatory pony is, that honor would go to Rainbow Dash, followed by Rarity and Pinkie Pie. As you can see, specific characters made up a good chunk of the search term list. The only pony of the Mane 6, which is the squad name for the main six ponies, who didn't make the list was Apple Jack. Not that it matters...and not that I've seen the show or anything...

So there you have it. Millennials are all about that pony porn. To which I say, more power to them.
