Inspired by the childhood summers he spent on his family’s farm, Zeke Freeman channeled his appreciation for sustainable agriculture into Bee Raw, a line of raw honey products from beeswax candles to body balm, all packaged in recycled materials and sourced from family-run farms.

Through the company’s Save The Bees fund, Freeman and Bee Raw work to educate people about America’s declining bee populations, also giving back to organizations that support bee habitat health through sustainable efforts.

Hazel Village was founded by Jane Van Cleef in 2010 for the simple — and totally relatable — reason that she wanted to create the soft and huggable toys she wished she could have played with as a little girl. After only one year in business, the apartment-based company had grown so rapidly that Jane recruited her friend Emma Katz to come on as COO. With Emma at the helm of operations and Jane flexing her creative muscles, Hazel Village officially took off.

Now, almost 10 years since its inception, the company is anchored in Brooklyn by a team of 14 women, and their dolls are hand-stitched with organic cotton by artisans in Nepal, Cambodia, and Peru.

It all started with a new baby and a harsh New England winter. Stylist Anna Wallack started creating her own homemade knits for her baby son back in 2011, and from there, Misha & Puff was born.

Touting the benefits of wool (like that it’s better at regulating body temperature than synthetic fabrics — super important for newborns!), Misha & Puff created an entire line of childrenswear made from the highest quality sustainable materials.

Today, Misha & Puff works primarily with Peruvian artisans, who own the entire garment creation process, reducing shipping resources and ensuring fair trade and wages for a whole team of talented craftspeople.
