Adele turned heads when she arrived at the BRITs 2022 sporting a large diamond on her left hand, fourth finger. The internet was buzzing, with fans wondering if the “Hello” singer is engaged to her American beau, sports agent Rich Paul. Luckily, we can always rely on Graham Norton to ask the important questions on our behalf. In an episode of his talk show that will air Friday, Feb. 11, the BBC presenter brings up the topic to Adele, who is one of the stars occupying his famous red couch. Playing her cards close to her chest, Adele is quoted as saying: “If I was [engaged], would I ever tell anyone if I was or wasn't?” Answering a question with a question? Well played, Adele.

The mum-of-one is currently visiting her home city, London, for the first time since filming her Audience With... special for ITV. Hot on the heels of the cancellation of her Las Vegas residency, which she promises is still going to happen at some point, Adele confirmed she would perform at the BRITs in an update posted on her Instagram.

Paul was notably absent from the red carpet at the BRITs, but Adele’s accessories caught the attention of fans. Matching her first look of the night, a sweeping Armani gown, were a pair of statement Lorraine Schwartz diamond earrings, and a rather large ring on her fourth finger. Despite various costume changes throughout the night, the diamond ring remained firmly in place.

The singer returned to the BRITs stage for the first time since 2016, treating a giddy and captive audience to a dazzling rendition of “I Drink Wine”, set against a glittering gold wall backdrop. She picked up three of the four awards she was nominated for, including best artist, album, and song of the year for “Easy On Me”.

Adele thanked her ex-husband, Simon Konecki, during one of her acceptance speeches at the BRITs, as well as thanking their 9-year-old son, Angelo. This isn’t the first time Adele has mentioned Simon at a major awards show. At the 2017 Grammys, upon accepting an award, she said: "My manager, my husband, and our son, you're the only reason that I do it."
