In the ever-growing market of streaming services, the latest to join the team is Paramount+. Having launched in the United States in 2021 as a rebrand of CBS All Access, Paramount+ offers over 30,000 episodes of television and 2,500 movies on demand, as well as original content including Showtime’s highly anticipated anthology drama The First Lady. So here’s how to sign up for Paramount+ in the UK, and what to expect from the service.

As it’s a brand new service, you’ll be given the opportunity to try it out for free for a week. Once that free trial is up, you can expect to pay £6.99 a month or £69.90 per year for the service. Paramount+ will be available on an array of devices, including Apple, Amazon, Google, Roku, and Samsung with more to be “announced in the coming months,” according to Digital Spy. You’ll be able to sign in to Paramount+ on two devices, per Uswitch, and have up to six profiles on one account for no additional cost.

Sky customers can also rejoice, as Paramount+ will be available at no extra cost. There will be a standalone app for the service on Sky Glass and Sky Q, while Sky+ customers will have “a range of content automatically available on their set-top box.”

However, Paramount+ won’t be available to NOW customers. But if you have a Sky Cinema pass, you’ll be able to access the movie portion of the streaming service including new blockbusters and Paramount’s library of films “at no additional cost”. So, for now it would seem that NOW costumers won’t have access to shows like The First Lady and Halo, which are exclusive to Paramount+.

As for what you can expect from Paramount+, the service will feature content from the likes of CBS, BET, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, and MTV as well as Showtime, Miramax, and MGM Studios. This includes the entire Star Trek franchise, as well as other series like Yellowstone, Halo, and the upcoming Frasier revival.
