These Are All The Love Island Couples Still Going Strong

No, YOU’RE crying.

When you’ve been tuning into Love Island every night for however many weeks, the continuous drama tends to overshadow the show’s main purpose: a bunch of singletons looking to find their perfect match. And while the course of true love certainly doesn't run smooth in the villa, there are some Love Island couples that have stood the test of time, proving that, on occasion, the show can work miracles.

Unlike other dating shows, when it comes to coupling up on Love Island, there's no science involved and no matchmaking experts to offer advice. Contestants decide pretty instinctually who their type is on paper, and sometimes it can go very wrong. I mean who can forget the Rosie-Adam saga of 2018? Or all the frogs Camilla had to kiss before finding her Prince Charming? And TBH I don't think anyone will ever recover from the Jordan-cracking-on-with-India-in-front-of-Anna's-eyes incident.

However, despite all the coupling ups that went very, very wrong, some were a match made in heaven. In fact, Love Island has actually succeeded a handful of times in producing long-lasting relationships, marriages, and even kids.

So, with that in mind, below is a list of the seven Love Island couples that are still going strong long after their time in the villa. And if you want to find about what happened to every couple ever on Love Island, click here.

1

Molly-Mae Hague & Tommy Fury

Coming third during last year's series, Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury are the most recent Love Island success story. "You know it's real when you spend evenings on holiday chasing each other round the room trying to stick the end of an umbrella in the other person's belly button," Hague tweeted in December.

I can't with these guys.

2

Olivia Buckland & Alex Bowen

Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen met during the second series of the show in 2016, and they were the first Love Island couple to get married after tying the knot last September, according to the Mirror. Speaking to OK!, Buckland discussed what 2020 holds for them, including children.

"Kids wise, we do talk about it, and I'm more broody than I used to be and I do want to have kids," she explained. "But we're just so busy and one of the opportunities I have [this] year, I might have to move abroad for two months so I wouldn't be able to have a baby next year anyway."

The couple don't mind talking about their future family plans, especially with people outside their relationship. "I don't feel the pressure," she said, "it used to annoy me and I used to hate talking about it but now I've just accepted that I'm not ready and I can't feel pressured by anyone because it's just up to me and Alex really."

3

Cara De La Hoyde & Nathan Massey

Even though the 2016 winning couple did part ways for a brief time, Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey are now happily married and raising their young son, Freddie.

"With us, we did split up, then we got back together. We stayed together for such a long time because we had expectations from the public because they voted for us and we didn't want to let them down," De La Hoyde explained during an interview on Good Morning Britain (via Manchester Evening News). "Then we split up."

Massey added: "We needed that space apart from each other to realise how much we loved each other."

4

Jessica Shears & Dom Lever

One of only two couples to get married after meeting on Love Island, Jessica Shears and Dom Lever have been going strong since meeting on the show in 2017. Shears and Lever ended up getting engaged a few months after Love Island ended, and were married by October 2018, as The Sun reports.

In May 2019, the couple announced on Instagram that they were expecting their first child, posting an adorable photo of an ultrasound with two photos of the pair beside it. The baby was born in early October, and the couple decided to keep their son's name private. "I think it was because [people] were expecting some kind of grand announcement when he was born, what his name was and stuff and I think we just weren't really fussed," Lever said on JD In The Duffle Podcast, via The Sun.

Shears and Lever aren’t the first couple from Love Island to become parents, though, as Cally Jane Beech and Luis Morrison from the first series in 2015 welcomed their baby girl to the world in May 2017, as Heat World reports.

5

Camilla Thurlow & Jamie Jewitt

After meeting on Love Island in 2017, Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt are still together, much like their fellow contestants Jessica Shears and Dom Lever. In May 2020, the couple announced they are expecting their first child, too! In a rather adorable video, the couple shared their happy news with family, friends, and fans.

Their picture-perfect relationship has covered a lot of ground since leaving the Love Island villa: from starting a joint business, through multiple charity trips, and even becoming parents of fur babies.

“I definitely trust Jamie, 100 per cent. Any relationship has its challenges, mine and Jamie’s included,” Thurlow said in an interview with The Sun, when talking about her ITVBe show What Camilla Did Next. “Everyone’s relationship has complexities. It can be tricky.

“We have a private life but in a public space. That can mean there’s often an information time lag … Some days are trickier than others and you have to gauge how much you engage in everything, like do you go back and explain? Maybe the show happened at a good time because now people will get to see how we deal with it.”

6

Luke Trotman & Siannise Fudge

Many viewers believe Luke T and Siannise were robbed of their Love Island crown in the winter 2020 season, but are the pair still together?

Well, to quote Siannise, "Oh, 100%!"

Yes, I am very happy to announced that Luke T and his Disney princess are still very much together and living their best life having just moved into a (to quote my girl Siannise again) lush flat in London. These two were adorable to watch in the villa, and despite bombshell Rebecca stirring up a few things early on, they ultimately found their way back to each other to provide us with some of the most-loved moments of the series. I mean, who could forget Luke's treasure hunt? Or *that* look while the couple were in bed? Or the not-so-sexy but oh-so-adorable Hideaway dance? There's just too many to count.

And if you're pining after more Luke T and Siannise content, but sure to follow these two on Instagram and on their joint YouTube account. You're welcome, guys.

7

Paige Turley & Finn Tapp

Winners of Winter Love Island 2020 are still going strong and providing us with excellent online content. I mean, is it just me or could you listen to Paige shout "FINLAAAAAY!" 100 times over and still not get bored of it?

Paige and Finn were one of the earliest couples to get together in the villa during their series and had relatively few bumps along the way – minus the headline game incident, of course.

Since leaving the villa, Paige and Finn have been back and forth between England and Scotland to visit one another and decided to lockdown together during the COVID-19 crisis, which is surely a precursor to an official move in? There's even talk of marriage...

Hopefully when Love Island returns in 2021, there will be more names to add to this loving list!
