As you are likely aware by now, the organizers behind the Jan. 21 Women's March have organized a global strike on Mar. 8, International Women's Day, called A Day Without A Woman. The strike encourages women (who may be able to take the day off work) to devote the day to marching, protesting, boycotting, and taking the time to take a stand against misogyny — in the workplace, in politics, and in society. The success of the Women's March helped to inspire this next movement. On their Instagram page, they explain:

"In the spirit of women and their allies coming together for love and liberation, we offer A Day Without A Woman. We ask: do businesses support our communities, or do they drain our communities? Do they strive for gender equity or do they support the policies and leaders that perpetuate oppression? Do they align with a sustainable environment or do they profit off destruction and steal the futures of our children? We saw what happened when millions of us stood together in January, and now we know that our army of love greatly outnumbers the army of fear, greed and hatred."

Now, as we stride into Women's History Month (which takes place all throughout March), it's the perfect time to build back some of that momentum from the march. And no better time than on International Women's Day, to bring together working women of the world. The day is being dubbed A Day Without A Woman, to help give women a platform to be heard and supported by their communities.

If you plan on protesting for the strike, there's no better time than now to put together signs that you can carry around at rallies. So, gather your troops, your girls, and your allies, and whip out those colored pencils: It's time again to stand for women's rights, as human rights, regardless of ethnicity, religion, sexual identity, gender expression, economic status, age or disability.

If you plan on participating in the strike but need some inspiration for signage, here are some ideas you might want to consider:
