If you're a Netflix lover (which — who are you kidding? — you totally are) then you likely understand how stressful it can be to sift through the endless amount of movies and series that are offered on the streaming platform. There are so many options to choose from, and that alone is what tends to spoil your streaming experience every once in awhile, as you probably spend more time trying to find something to watch than you actually spend watching said program. Most of the time, it seems like a smarter or, rather, easier idea to just stick to what we know and marathon the shows we're used to watching, or diving into the ones that are the most talked about at the moment. But there are definitely some hidden gems on Netflix that you're overlooking and should add to your queue ASAP.
Sure, we all love Unbreakable Kimmy Shmidt, and we can't wait to find out what's going to happen after that major cliffhanger on the latest season of Orange is the New Black. But, in the meantime, there's a vast array of other, lesser known series to explore and they're all waiting for you to sit down and press play. Read on for a list of hidden gems to tune into right now.

'Crazyhead'
Some good news for all the Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans who cried when the show was taken off of Netflix at the beginning of April: you’ll absolutely love Crazyhead. It’s about two twenty-somethings, Amy and Raquel, who call themselves “seers,” or people who can see demons. This causes both of them to be diagnosed with mental disorders, but after meeting each other and realizing what they have in common, the two set out on a hilarious quest to stop their doctor (a demon) from opening up a hellmouth that will cause millions of demons to invade the world.

'Chewing Gum'
Chewing Gum stars Michaela Coel, who also created the side-splitting series. She plays Tracy, a 24-year-old virgin who, really, really wants to have sex. Losing her virginity seems like it’s a pretty easy feat — except that, much like her family, her boyfriend is super religious and doesn’t believe in sex before marriage. The show's second season was just recently released on Netflix, so you shouldn't have too much catching up to do if you're not already watching.

'Love'
Love isn’t your typical romantic comedy. The Netflix original, which made its debut last February, explores male and female relationships from dueling perspectives, and it features a few kooky characters to give a realistic look at modern relationships.

'Easy'
You’re in luck if you’re a fan of anthology series. Easy premiered this past fall, and its first season is a collection of eight episodes all about the romantic relationships between a group of Chicago couples.

'Lovesick'
Lovesick is a raunchy British sitcom about a young man who, upon discovering that he has a sexually transmitted disease, must contact every woman he’s slept with to tell him about his condition.

'Sense8'
From the creators of The Matrix, Sense8 is a mind-blowing sci-fi drama about eight strangers from around the world who discover that they’re able to communicate with one another mentally.

'The Get Down'
Baz Luhrmann and Stephen Adly Guirgis collaborated on this brilliant musical drama about a group of teenagers living in the Bronx in the 1970s with dreams of making it big in the music industry.

'Bojack Horseman'
Will Arnett lends his voice to a humanoid horse in this adult animated comedy about a potty-mouthed actor who makes several attempts at a comeback after having a successful career on a ‘90s family sitcom.

'3%'
Things take a turn for the uncomfortable in this Brazilian dystopian thriller about a divided futuristic society — one side is marred by poverty, while the other is wealthy and thriving. Citizens are given an opportunity to prove that they belong in the better half of this world, but only three percent of those who take the test succeed.

'The Fall'
Filmed and set in Northern Ireland, The Fall tells the story of a detective on the hunt for a mysterious serial killer played by Jamie Dornan.

'Documentary Now!'
Because who doesn't love a good mockumentary? The show was created by Saturday Night Live alums Bill Hader, Fred Armisen, and Seth Meyers, and it's basically a series of parodied famed documentaries.

'The OA'
Brit Marling created and stars in this twisted sci-fi drama about a young woman who returns to her hometown after disappearing for seven years. The shocking part? She was blind when she went missing.

'The Magicians'
Based on the novel by the same name, The Magicians, follows a group of students studying magic at the fictional Brakebills College of Magical Pedagogy. Think of it as a collegiate version of Hogwarts.
