13 Housewife Alums That Would Make Great Housewives Now

Lately there's been a trend among the Real Housewives franchise: Bringing back former fan favorites that had previously left their respective shows. It's a trend that's been embraced by loyal viewers who enjoy seeing OG housewives back in front of the cameras. And with some shows having been on the air for over a decade (The Real Housewives of Orange County premiered back in 2006), there's no shortage of Housewife alums that would make great Housewives now. To narrow down the options, I've put together this list of alums that would be great to bring back to the Real Housewives. But keep in mind, that I'm only listing U.S. based Real Housewives, so no international housewives.

Isn't it crazy that there are a total of 10 different international Real Housewives shows that have either aired or are in the works? The newest being The Real Housewives of Hungary. That's how far reaching the show's appeal has been. As for the U.S. version, so far a number of former Housewives have returned to their shows. Bethenny Frankel left The Real Housewives of New York City after the third season, then returned for Season 7. Shereé Whitfield left The Real Housewives of Atlanta after Season 4 then came back years later for the recent ninth season. In my opinion, both of their returns have reinvigorated their respective series. Their faces are familiar, and let's face it, the pros from seasons prior know how to keep us fans entertained. Who isn't excited about NeNe Leakes returning for Season 10 of RHOA and Danielle Staub coming back to RHONJ?

In honor of this amazing trend, here are my recommendations for additional Real Housewives alums that should consider returning to the franchise.

1. Kim Fields

Her blink-and-you-missed-it tenure during Season 8 of RHOA absolutely left us fans wanting more. And now that Shereé and NeNe are confirmed for Season 10, I say it's time to bring back Kim. Even if just as a "friend of."

2. Brandi Glanville

Lover her or hate her, Brandi was great on RHOBH. Unfortunately it seems like she quickly made enemies with most of the rest of the cast, but who knows, maybe she and Lisa Rinna might find themselves getting along in a future season.

3. Alex McCord

Apparently, years after appearing on RHONY, Alex is now a psychologist. Yup, you read that correctly! A while back she, along with her husband and two children, moved to Byron Bay, Australia, where Alex got her B.A. in Psychology. Although she's seen success outside of reality television, her education about the human mind could mean that she'd be better at stirring up the drama than she was before.

4. Claudia Jordan

She went toe-to-toe with NeNe, and delivered some iconic lines, but sadly Claudia was only a full-time housewife on RHOA for one short season.

5. Eileen Davidson

I was pretty devastated when I found out that Eileen wasn't returning for the next season of RHOBH. So much so that I'm already campaigning for her to return!

6. Caroline Manzo

Her spin-off show, Manzo'd with Children, isn't coming back for a fourth season, so why not bring Caroline back to RHONJ? Imagine seeing her and Danielle back on the same screen again.

7. Faye Resnick

She's never been an official Housewife, but Faye has already established that she can hold her own with the rest of the ladies on RHOBH. I'd say it's time to hand this woman a diamond to hold!

8. Heather Dubrow

Heather only recently left after Season 11 of RHOC, and has since been "busier than ever." But I'm betting that after a year or two we could see her return to the show. Heather and her husband (Botched co-host Terry Dubrow) are both well know and followed, so if Heather doesn't return to RHOC maybe she and Terry might get their own show? I'd watch it.

9. Katie Rost

The somewhat less popular Potomac, Maryland based Real Housewives show wasn't the same without Katie. She was vocal and opinionated, and fans were bummed when it was reported she wasn't returning for Season 2. If RHOP does get another season here's hoping they bring Katie back!

10. Camille Grammer

Why exactly Camille left RHOBH I'll never understand. She's appeared as a guest on a number of episodes since her departure after Season 2 and it's definitely time to make her a main cast member again.

11. Adrienne Maloof

Adrienne on the other hand, left RHOBH during an understandably difficult time in her life. Brandi had revealed private information about her family, and Adrienne and husband Paul Nassif (the other co-host of Botched) went through a public divorce. But all of that is behind her now, and honestly, no one really held their own in confrontations with Lisa Vanderpump like Adrienne did.

12. Kelly Killoren Bensimon

It's been a while since Kelly left RHONY in 2001, but now is the time for her to return as a full-time part of the next season. She's apparently stayed in touch with Luann de Lesseps, and claims to be on good terms (finally) with Bethenny Frankel. Oh, and she's got a new clothing line for HSN, so getting back in front of Bravo viewers could be a good way to promote her products.

13. Jill Zarin

Bravo teased us when Jill showed up at one of Luann's pre-wedding events, and fans of RHONY have collectively decided that they want her back as a main housewife. Let's face it, Jill was one of the best Real Housewives of all time, and she'd definitely liven up Season 10 of RHONY.

Who knows whether any decision makers at Bravo are reading this list, but they'd be wise to listen to the fans and re-cast any of the housewives mentioned. Or better yet — just bring them all back.
