Well folks, the seemingly endless first month of 2018 is FINALLY OVER. Though the dreary days of winter continue to drag on, February is here, which makes it acceptable to begin planning for the best day of the year (or at least, in Leslie Knope's eyes): Galentine's Day! And with it, of course, the need to start brainstorming your favorite Galentine's Day Instagram captions.

Not familiar with the concept? Galentine's Day is an informal holiday created and brought to the public's attention by everyone's favorite local government official, Leslie Knope of Pawnee, Indiana (as portrayed on Parks and Recreation). In her words, Leslie designates Galentine's Day as a day that, "...my ladyfriends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies. It’s like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus frittatas.”

Fast forward eight years and one idea from a primetime comedy show has changed the way women all over the country celebrate each other forever. On February 13 — the day before Valentine's Day — ladies gather together to celebrate their love and friendship through brunch, booze, and most importantly, each other's company.
