There is no better feeling than falling in love with a book. Sometimes, a book comes into your life at just the right time. Sometimes, you read a book so often, the lines that matter always stay with you close.
The first time I read It's Kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini, I felt understood in all of my anger and emotion. I think of lines from the text often; it's one of those books that I will always own a copy of because of what it means to me. When I reflect upon a book like Tender Is the Night, my favorite of F. Scott Fitzgerald's works, I remember feelings. I keep my favorite poem, "Airport" by Lenard D. Moore, taped on the inside of my planner so I can always return to it when I need it.
We remember beautiful words. Words that make us think and ache and love and remember. Whichever book that is for you, we can all agree that these words should be celebrated. Young Adult literature is packed with so many wonderful books that it's almost hard to narrow down and choose a few. Her are some of the most beautiful sentences in YA. I hope you find a new favorite among them.
