Following the amazing finale of HBO's Big Little Lies earlier this month, many fans still have some unfinished business with the season that has even left some feeling restless. In a recent interview with E! News, Reese Witherspoon said conversations are happening that could make Big Little Lies Season 2 happen. "We're talking to Liane Moriarty, who wrote the book, about how could these characters go on, what would happen?," Witherspoon said. "We definitely left it open-ended, so there's a possibility there." And that's a good thing, because fans have questions that needs answers if there is a Season 2.

In the interview, Witherspoon shared her excitement over fan dedication to the show saying, "[Big Little Lies] had the biggest reaction of any piece of work I've ever done." With a show that generated so much excitement, it's hard to believe the show could end here. The women of Monterey kept us on the edge or our sofas as we tuned into seven episodes filled with heavy topics the world needed to witness including abuse, divorce, behavioral issues, and addiction. Moriarty told the Sydney Morning Herald that even though the book does not have a sequel, she would be willing to continue Big Little Lies, the TV series. "I have started to think about ways this could continue," Moriarty told the Sydney Morning Herald. "The producers have asked me to see if I can come up with some ideas. I wouldn't write a new book but perhaps a new story and then we'll see what happens."

Witherspoon and Moriarity are giving us all hope that we'll finally be able to get answers to these important questions from Big Little Lies to which we still need answers.

1

Does Ed Know What's Going On Between Madeline And Joseph?

For much of the final episodes, I could sense Ed slowly figuring out Madeline's little secret, given the car accident and the look of shame when she saw Ed deliver a sentimental Elvis number. It's unclear at this point if Ed knows and if he doesn't, will his growing suspicious of Madeline leak into Season 2?

2

Will Jane And Tom Become An Item?

There's clearly something between the two. Will they pursue that interest and is Ziggy ready for mom to date without knowing who his father is?

3

Will The Women Get Caught?

We know who killed Celeste's abusive husband, but how long will the women be able to keep the lie up?

4

Will Max Get Help For His Behavioral Issues?

We didn't see any follow-up after Celeste finds out Max is the one who's abusing Amabella besides a hug. Clearly, there are some issues that go beyond an apology. It would be interesting to see this part of the story develop.

5

Does Jane Ever Tell Ziggy About His Father?

In the final episode, we learn who Ziggy's father, but up until then, Ziggy had no clue. Will and should Jane tell him?

6

Are Bonnie And Madeline Friends Now?

The two certainly have come a long way from Madeline puking up dinner to being in on a death together. Was this enough to patch things up for good?

7

Is Abigail Still Going To Auction Her Virginity?

Was Madeline's conversation with her teenage daughter, Abigail enough to stop her from selling her virginity for charity?

I'm hoping Big Little Lies Season 2 can produce magic with the author's initial intent in mind. Fingers crossed.
