Where you spend your money can sometimes be a force for social change, and that includes fashion purchases. When you find brands that support causes you care about, buying from them feels all the more satisfying. One particularly relevant cause for many people is women's reproductive health, and luckily, support Planned Parenthood through fashion.
Of course, you can always make donations to them directly — and that goes for any organization you want to support. However, there are also plenty of fashion brands that support Planned Parenthood by way of donating the proceeds from sales of certain products (and sometimes everything from the brand), and they're worth knowing if you want a creative way to give back.
Lots of fashion brands and designers match employee contributions to Planned Parenthood, and some support them for a certain time. The #WomenTogether project that ran from Nov. 25-28 featured brands like Maryam Nassir Zadeh and Ace & Jig, donating portions of sales to Planned Parenthood and other groups for a period of time.
While that was super rad, what about the rest of the year? What brands are vocal about their support so you know you are putting your money where your beliefs are? Here are nine places to buy fashion to support Planned Parenthood:

Otherwild's has a selection of products with the phrase, "The Future is Female." Otherwild staff lives this message, participating in rallies and sharing their support for women — they donate 25 percent of the proceeds from these shirts to Planned Parenthood.

The Outrage is a brand offers a multitude of ways to support Planned Parenthood. You can send postcards to your friends and The Outrage donates 100 percent of the proceeds to Planned Parenthood. You can also buy sweatshirts that say "Pantsuit Nation" — 100 percent of those proceeds are donated as well, in Hilary Clinton's name. Or, get a "Nasty Women" crop top and they donate 15 percent of the proceeds to Planned Parenthood in Donald Trump's name. The brand's Instagram shows a lot of support for all women, with celebrations of Black History month and the LGBT community.

The CFDA announced a collaboration with Planned Parenthood to draw attention to the health organization. According to their website, CFDA President and CEO Steven Kolb said, "Civic responsibility is an important CFDA pillar. Defunding Planned Parenthood will impact millions of Americans. We will raise awareness and support this fashion week and show that Fashion Stands with Planned Parenthood.”
Every time you spend money, you are helping the brand you purchase further their views, whether that is your intention or not. Purchasing from a brand that supports what you believe in is a great way to use your money for social awareness and change.
