Now that '90s kids are more like '90s "adults who have jobs and are wondering what happened to our weird beautiful fleeting youth," there is one pretty fantastic benefit: we get to let our nostalgia and reminiscences guide today's popular media. That means remakes and reboots galore, catered specifically to our very own personal tastes, or at least, the tastes of our younger selves, which we're still kind of desperately trying to keep alive through hobbies and media consumption. And this summer, there's no shortage of movies and TV shows that '90s kids need to watch.
With Beauty and the Beast and Power Rangers, the year has already gotten off to a very '90s start, and the memories are only going to keep on flowing as we move into the summer months. And yes, of course, the season is best spent playing with your Skip It on the street in front of your house and eating Flintstones push-ups, but that doesn't mean you don't get hot or tired sometimes, or just plain crave a good movie or TV show. Fortunately, the gods of Big and Silver Screen have smiled upon today's '90s kids, and there's sure to be something to scratch whatever kind of nostalgia itch you've got this summer.

'Mystery Science Theater 3000' (April 14)
Lucky us, the hilarious bad movie mockery-slash-love-fest that dominated the '90s, Mystery Science Theater 3000, is back with a reboot that's already out on Netflix. Tom Servo and the rest of the gang are back on the Satellite of Love, along with new stars like Patton Oswalt, Jonah Ray, and Felicia Day.

'Bill Nye Saves the World' (April 21)
If you're a '90s kid and you don't feel a deep, pure, nostalgic fondness for Bill Nye, you've probably got a chip missing or something. The man who made us believe in the power of science is returning to us in our time of need, and now that you're an adult, you don't even have to wait until there's a substitute teacher to watch Bill Nye Saves the World.

'Twin Peaks' (May 21)
Many thought it could never happen, many worried what it would be like if it did happen. Now, we're all about to find out what new bizarre goings-on have taken over the town of Twin Peaks 25 years later.

'Baywatch' (May 25)
It's hard to say we necessarily needed a reboot of Baywatch, but as soon as you cast Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in something, I find it equally as hard to say I don't need it. He's just delightful, and it looks like the movie will lean heavily on comedy and some mockery of the original series, which is extremely promising.

'Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie' (June 2)
Was there anything more satisfying than getting to spend your required Silent Reading Time with a book that said underpants on it? This new cartoon will bring out the giggling, immature sense of humor in all of us.

'The Mummy' (June 9)
The most fun action movie of the '90s is back but it doesn't have Brendan Fraser in it and I don't know how to feel. But I do know we all need to see it so we can discuss, and then immediately watch the original.

'Transformers: The Last Knight' (June 23)
There is a fifth Transformers movie, humans are at war with the Transformers in it, and Anthony Hopkins is there, just like every game you played with your Transformers toys as a kid.

Stephen King's 'It' (September 9)
'90s kids were all collectively traumatized by Stephen King's It, and now with the remake, it's our turn to terrify a new generation.

'Flatliners' (September 29)
This bizarre, spooky sci-fi horror movie is getting a thoroughly contemporary remake with Ellen Page, Diego Luna, and Nina Dobrev. But classically '90s star of the original, Kiefer Sutherland, is returning also.

BONUS: DuckTales (TBD)
Yes, friends. Start practicing your Pringles duck bill and squeaky voice, because DuckTales is returning on Disney sometime this summer. They haven't landed on an exact date, but we do know there will be 21 half-hour episodes and two one-hour specials.
