A Third 'Sex And The City' Movie Could Happen

by Jordana Lipsitz

It's been a long time since we got to venture into the fashion and fun-filled Sex and the City world of Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Samantha (Kim Cattrall), Chalotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon). It's been far too long, honestly. And now I can't help but wonder what would have to happen for the world to finally get a third Sex and the City movie? It's been almost seven years since the last venture into Carrie Bradshaw's with the 2010 film Sex and the City 2. But don't worry guys, there's good news because there is still a possibility SATC could return to the silver screen, reports E!.

The entertainment channel caught up with the SATC's lead, Sarah Jessica Parker about the future of her iconic show on the silver screen. While she admitted that the movie was still in the realm of possibilities, there are still some necessary maneuvers that would need to go down first. Namely a script would have to be drafted, and an ideal time for all four actresses to shoot would be necessary. Parker, for one, is busy acting and executive producing the HBO dramedy, Divorce.

Said Parker: "The truth of the matter is there is no script. There's never been a script. The idea remains a real possibility but when is the right time? I guess that's what it all boils down to — when! So we'll see."

So basically, what we're waiting on is a bunch of fans to get really riled up and start begging for someone out there to write a script for a new Sex and the City. Then, we need these same fans to continue begging for more until all four actors can settle on a prime time for shooting. Hey guys, with the power of the internet, anything is possible. We can totally make this happen.

Sex and the City wasn't just an ordinary show, so though the last look into the world was awhile ago, it's still tough to say goodbye to the universe... and why should we? The popular series ran from from 1998 until 2004 and in that time won seven Emmys and eight Golden Globes, so it's clear the show has got a certain something people really like. Don't we deserve that same "something" again with a third film? I'd say so. Bring on more SATC!
